Central Texas Food System: Research Directory and Network Map
One of the goals of Central Texas Food Bank’s Central Texas Food System Initiative is to inspire research that contributes to a more equitable food system.
We created the resources below to facilitate collaboration and connection among researchers, food system planners, and any other individuals, groups, or organizations engaged in food system work in Central Texas.
Note: We have started by concentrating on higher education institutions. We acknowledge that a wealth of research exists in the food industry, research institutes and centers, and nonprofit organizations, which this directory does not yet capture.
We intend to maintain these resources as Central Texas Food Bank staff continue to connect with food system researchers.
Please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page if you consider yourself to be a food system researcher who has a focus on Central Texas and would like to be added to these resources, or if you would like to update your information in the directory or on the map.
The process of building the directory and map started in summer 2024, with a goal of learning more about the food system research landscape in Central Texas. Learn more about this process on our Central Texas Food System Research Landscape page.
